Glaze waffles with candied orange

Ingredient:

  • 6 Liège waffles

  • 100gr of dark chocolate

  • 80gr of icing sugar

  • 40gr of butter

  • 1 table spoon of hot water

  • 1 liter of water

  • 500gr of sugar

  • 2 oranges

Preparation:

Candied orange:

  • Slice 2 oranges into thin slice.

  • Put the slice in a pan, cover with water, bring to boil.

  • Drain and repeat a second time.

  • Add the sugar, water and sliced orange, bring to boil.

  • Reduce the heat and leave to candied slowly one hour.

  • Keep the orange in the sirup.

Chocolate icing:

  • Melt the chocolate and the butter in a double boiler.

  • When melted, add icing sugar and hot water.

  • Whip until the mix is smooth.

  • Glaze the waffle when the icing is still hot.

  • Dress the candied oranges by removing the excess syrup.
